Astronaut Appearance Request Guidelines

Aymette's appearances are coordinated with Similares Pharmacies. As a full-time teacher, she must also work with her school to make these appearances possible.  Appearance requests are carefully reviewed to ensure that Amy participates in events aimed at educating audiences.  

To maximize outreach, Aymette provides three options for astronaut appearances:

• Virtual appearances - Virtual appearances are conducted via Google Meet™, allowing Amy to connect with sponsoring organizations through video conference. If Google Meet isn’t accessible to you, feel free to inquire about alternative platforms. These sessions are free of charge and limited to 30 minutes.

• In-person appearances - In-person appearances require coordinating Aymette's travel to the event location. For more information about these requests, please reach out to the SimiSpace division at Similares Pharmacies. 

• Recorded greetings - Recorded greetings allow Amy to prepare an audio or video message in advance to be played during your event. These are offered at no cost to the requester.    

The required lead times for appearance requests are as follows:

• Virtual Appearances: 6 weeks

• Local In-Person Appearances (within 30 miles of Houston-Galveston, only certain Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays): 6 weeks

• Domestic In-Person Appearances (within the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico): 8 weeks

• International In-Person Appearances: Only available during June and July, request with 10 weeks in advance

• Recorded Greetings: 6 weeks
  
  

Note: Requests must be made by a teacher or an adult responsible for the project or organization. Requests submitted by students will not be accepted. Requests that do not meet these lead time requirements may be declined.

Due to Amy's full-time teaching responsibilities and the high demand for astronaut appearances, only a limited number of requests can be accommodated at any given time. As a result, some valid requests may be declined due to availability or scheduling conflicts. Additionally, please be aware that unexpected circumstances may lead to the cancellation of a confirmed appearance.
